Alpha Test V0.02 - Changelog


Thanks to all of those who helped us playtest so far! This update will likely be the only one to occur during playtesting in the near future, but more may come up down the line. Changes since V0.01 are listed below; most are bug fixes, but there were some changes and additions made to respond to some of the received feedback.

~Alpha Build .02 Changelog~

Additions:
-New Camera: allows for free movement to allow for better control over the player's perspective. Vertical camera movement is limited to prevent motion sickness.
-Risk-reward Modules: a rare module that spawns with a resource underneath it
-Weak Rafters now play a warning sound when crossed
-Volume is now remembered by the game, even after exiting a session

Changes:
-Increased overall gravity
-E is now the global interaction key
-Climbing ropes now uses the E key in place of F, and takes priority over items when E is pressed
-Sound Volume Slider was renamed to SFX
-Resources were given a temporary glow
-Adjusted volume values and handling to provide a better spectrum (much of the unusual volume control is unfortunately on Unity's end)
-Monster spawns after a longer delay
-The Monster now retains the player's position while chasing much better then before
-The Monster no longer stops completely when attacking
-The Monster can now turn much faster
-The Monster's speed is now influenced by its behaviour

Bug Fixes:
-Monster no longer investigates noises if chasing the player
-Player no longer moves faster diagonally
-Resolution and Graphics Quality dropdowns are now properly titled
-The correct number of resources now generates (required amount + 3)
-More Pause screen position adjustments
-Spawn Module no longer spawns with a Rope
-Ropes no longer glow
-Player animations fixed to cooperate with new camera changes
-Pots and Vases no longer roll like balls, and react more consistently to their actual shapes when pushed
-Vases no longer explode like shrapnel bombs
-Volume bars now correctly display the current volume setting
-Bottles, vases, and pots should no longer fall off rafters shortly after generation
-Bridge preview no longer spawns far from the player
-Bridge previews now properly move with the player
-The camera can no longer clip through the floor
-The player is now killed if they come into physical contact with the monster
-The spawn module's lights no longer shine through the module's model
-The pause menu no longer opens the last menu active when it was last closed
-Fixed size of the ground texture
-Lighting fixes
